Abstract
In this scientific article, it is described that, currently, in world practice, feed spreaders are designed for large livestock farms, so they do not work well when used in family farms with 5-10 head of cattle or 50-60 head of sheep. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the parameters of the unloading window of a feed dispenser for family farms. A small device for distributing coarse feed has been developed for family farms. It consists of a hopper, a rotor, walking wheels, an electric motor, a worm gear, a belt drive and a discharge chute. Crushed straw, corn and alfalfa stalks were selected as roughages in the experiments. To determine the height and width of the spill window, one-factor experiments were conducted using the existing regulations on the developed device. According to the results of the conducted experiments, in order to ensure the quality of distribution of coarse feed at the level of the specified requirements, the width of the discharge window of the distribution device should be 40 cm. In this case, the amount of feed spillage is 4.71 kg/m in corn, 4.27 kg/m in alfalfa and 3.43 kg/m in straw and satisfies the initial requirements. The height of the pouring window should be 30 cm to ensure the required quality of pouring ground corn, alfalfa and straw. The amount of distributed mass is 3 kg to 5 kg per daily ration, 4.35 kg/m in corn, 4.05 kg/m in alfalfa, and 3.55 kg/m in straw, which is at the level of the specified requirements. According to the results of the experiment, the height of the discharge window of the developed distributor device was assumed to be 30 cm and the width was 40 cm.
